THI^®F-3118 Flash Rust Inhibitor (Water-based coating antirust agent)

This product is an eco-friendly flash rust inhibitor specially designed for water-based coatings on the surface of metals. It can effectively solve the flash rust problem of dried coating film when contacting with water and improve the rust resistance and salt spray resistance of the coating film. It does not affect the drying speed and adhesion of the coating.

It is widely used in water-based coatings and paints, such as acrylic, epoxy, alkyd and polyurethane coatings. It is also suitable to be used in the base layer of various metals and hardware products such as steel, iron, alloy steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals, to improve the anti-rust performance of the coating.

The general amount of addition is 0.8%-2% of the overall volume, and it can be added at any stage. Curing agent needs to be added to the two-component epoxy coating. In the case of high humidity and low temperature, or suppressing the welding seam position, raw cast iron and sandblasting iron to prevent rust, the addition amount should be increased.
