Because the flocculant has a strong positive charge and a high molecular weight, it has both strong electric neutralization and adsorption bridging properties in water treatment, so that the colloidal system in the sewage can contact and collide with the added flocculant. The colloidal system is destabilized and forms certain size of aggregations, and finally precipitated by gravity to achieve the purpose of solid-liquid separation.
